King cake
Discover our delicious traditional almond cream king cake recipe, perfect for Epiphany.

Préparation
Preheat the oven to 200 °C and remove the rack.
In the DuoChef, place the dry ingredients and mix on the first speed.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix on the second speed.
On the MultiFlex Baking Sheet placed on the cold oven rack, place one puff pastry sheet.
Using the Silicone Brush, brush the edge of the pastry with egg wash over a width of 2 cm, spread the almond cream in the center of the pastry without touching the egg wash.
Place the bean in the cream.
Place the second puff pastry sheet on top, pressing the edges lightly with a fork to seal the two pastries together.
Draw crosshatch or other patterns on the pastry with the blade of a knife without piercing it.
In the center and along the lines, prick the pastry at regular intervals with a toothpick so that air can escape and prevent the pastry from puffing up too much and drying out.
Using the Silicone Brush, spread the egg wash over the second pastry. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes on the lower rack of the oven.
