• Rinse the product thoroughly before placing it in the dishwasher.
• Residues of highly colored foods, such as tomato sauce, can stain the outside of the container.

WHY AND HOW TO FREEZE YOUR FOOD?

• Keep food fresh longer. Freezing slows down the chemical and microbiological processes that cause food to spoil and lose nutrients.
• Save money. Buying in bulk is cheaper than buying in small quantities. Igloo Boxes are perfect for easily freezing any type of food and keeping your freezer organized.
• Save time by preparing a larger quantity than needed and freezing leftovers to consume later in the week.
• Let your preparations cool before placing them in the Igloo Box to avoid any deformation of the material.
• Food expands when freezing. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
• Fill your boxes only up to 2/3 as food expands during freezing.
• For faster freezing, freeze your food in the Igloo Box without the lid. After freezing, close it with the lid.
• To freeze meat fillets/rolls, fish… and prevent them from sticking together, freeze them separately on the lid beforehand, then place them in the appropriate Box and close it.
• For large quantities, divide the food into separate containers in advance. This will speed up freezing time and when eating, you will have the exact amount you want to use.
• To freeze portions of homemade dishes, freeze them in the Igloo Box 170 ml, then place the frozen portions in the Igloo Box 2.5 l (± 8 portions of 170 ml per 1 Igloo Box 2.5 l).
• Locate the coldest area/drawer of the freezer (read the appliance manual) and place specific foods in this area for faster freezing.
• The secret to excellent results with vegetables is to blanch them in boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes. After boiling, quickly cool the vegetables in ice water before freezing. This process stops enzymes that can deteriorate vegetables and kills most microorganisms that may be present.
• Always label food containers so you can easily identify what is in your freezer.

HOW TO DEFROST YOUR FOOD?

• When taking out of the freezer, let it rest for a few moments at room temperature before removing the lid. Run the box under warm water to facilitate unmolding. To unmold, place your thumbs in the middle of the box and apply pressure.
• Defrost food in the refrigerator overnight or in the microwave in a suitable container, at low power/wattage.
• Do not defrost at room temperature, as this can promote the growth of harmful microorganisms.
• Never refreeze defrosted food.
• Once food is defrosted, be sure to consume it within the recommended time.
